Talented programmers wanted for creative and elegant overhaul of web application based on PHP/MySQL. Current application allows teams of students to enter and submit written work via a six-step process for subsequent feedback and evaluation. Current code involves extensive use of original PHP classes, OOP, and MySQL interaction. We would like to modify this application in three ways in creating a NEW website/application:(1)look and feel, incorporating the latest graphical elements and styles, including Flash elements in creating an elegant site,WHILE taking speed of site into consideration; (2)Code and programming, incorporating the latest advances in PHP and OOP. We need a modular system (in the mold of EdgePanel,[login to view URL]),though of course tailored to our unique application.(3)a modified six-step process for students to submit work, more details of which will be given to prospective programmers.
New programming MUST make use of original OOP structure and protocols, that is, original code, in creating the underlying structure of the system. How this is done is completely up to you, as long as the code is original.
Creativity is welcome and encouraged!
A general overview of our existing web application. Though the project is for a NEW site/application, it will be very similar to this existing site:
(1)Team module:for individual teams composed of students to submit work via numerous HTML textboxes, etc., on different topics assigned during the academic year.
(2)A Teacher Module:teachers logon to follow the work of their teams.
(3)Evaluator module:evaluators logon to score submitted work.
(4)Admin module:site for administrative control, including the creation of teams, assignment of topics, management of evaluators, coaches, and so on.
**I will send logon info to? coders to see the current application and its operation before bidding on development of the new site/application.**
## Deliverables
We'd very much like a design that is unique, creative, and above all professional. We can work in stages of completion if this suits the programmer (team module as first stage, teacher module as second stage, and so on).
**We can also separate the graphical update from the code update entirely, or treat them as stages as well, if desired.** If separated, code/programming will precede any graphical work. Creative and innovative thinking is welcome and encouraged!
Concrete deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
1A) Well-written and clear code
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables):
a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
**And again, the most important requirement: creative and innovative thinking! Join us for a fun and rewarding project!**

To all bidders:
The original description was not clear on this, but the proposed project site/application will be similar in layout to the existing site, but will use a different process for students to submit work (that is, the six steps will be modified). As this is sensitive information, I will send more info as we get closer to choosing a programmer. Because of this, programmers will be allowed to alter their bids through the point in which we discuss the final details of the proposed application/site, so as to best reflect the amount of work they feel necessary.
Thank you and please do not hesitate to ask any questions!
