My website, [[login to view URL]][1] is in need of a facelift by a graphics designer/coder.
1. Theme needs a 'smoother' look. Right now everything is blocky with hard edges.
2. Tables need to look slicker - more 'pro'. This could entail using small icons to make the menu items stand out. Also, using additional colors (header, background, border) would make the tables look better.
3. Main body needs work. Right now, I have a 2x2 block that contains articles and lessons (i.e. upper left block is Tutorials, lower left is Columns, etc). I would like to do away with that 2x2 block (the icons as well) and have each category occupy a row that expands to the width of the body. So one row for Tutorials, one for Columns, etc. Perhaps a table with expandable, rounded edges would work well. Something similar to:
4. Guitar Lessons menu - this dynamic menu should function essentially the same. Depending on how you modify the look of the tables, this dynamic menu may need to be redone to match the new look.
5. I made some changes in the PostNuke theme implementation. I created a file called [login to view URL] that I use to display some of the main body content. This file should be in the theme folder. If the seller feels there is a better way to implement this aspect of the theme then I am open to that.
6. Most Popular Lessons - these blocks on the main body were implemented somewhat awkwardly. You can see that they are displayed partly by the indexcontent file as well as in theme.php. I need to have the content defined in only one location.
## Deliverables
1) Modified PHP scripts and html files that define the PostNuke theme of my website. Must be well commented. These files include
public_html/
public_html/themes/Guitar-Dreams/
public_html/themes/Guitar-Dreams/style
2) Any graphic elements must be uploaded to a folder under the Theme's main folder. (public_html/themes/Guitar-Dreams/images)
3) For aspects of the site whose design elements are accessed through the site database (i.e. the items of the left and right menus are specified by accessing the 'Blocks' module), seller must make appropriate database changes. For instance, if you decide to re-order things, create additional menu blocks, these changes will need to be accomplished via the 'Blocks' module.
4) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
My site is hosted in the [login to view URL] environment. It is a PHP-based site that is built from the PostNuke CMS. The backend database is MySql. Knowledge of the OS and details of the Apache web server should not be required for the work.
