our company is using an inventory system from micronet. (<[login to view URL]>)
we are looking to have an online store where our customers get to search our products & make orders online. the e-catalog must be integrsted into our inventory system to provide real time results.
refer attachmemnt for more details
micronet told us that the system is open system:
--
**"Open" means that the data (or database) is open and/or accessible by other 3rd party software programs like Excel, Cognos, Crystal Reports to produce management reports, use the data directly in spreadsheets, merge the data to do things like a mail drop using Word, etc. The Micronet database is "open" using our ODBC Engine to provide the access.**
**Generally to make your accounting system data "open" you either build the accounting software using an open database like Access, MS SQL, Oracle, etc in the first place.......OR......you do what we have done and build an engine or tool like our ODBC Engine to provide this facility for these 3rd party packages.**
**Micronet software is written in Visual C++.**--
