machine check utility in c#

this is a utility in c# that does the following checks and returns us a list of the issues that were found. a list of parms and settings will be passed in as parms to this method: string[] ValidateMachine(settings) We need a class that lets us check the following: 1. That IIS and ASP.NET are installed on the current machine. 1. We need to be able to check the permissions on users. The current user must be able to write files to a specific directory (the logicbase deploy directory) and must be able to administer IIS. Preferrably the current user should be a member of the administrators group. 2. In XP the ASPNET Machine Account needs to be in administrators group. 3. In Windows Server 2003 - Network Service user needs to be in administrators group. 4. Need to verify that the ASPNET or NETWORK SERVICES account is the account that is being used on this system for Asp.net execution. 5. The deployment Service must be installed. We must be able to hit the deployment service over http on (normally on port 80, not always) without any errors. The deployment service URL should come from the Tool PReferneces URLToDeploymentService property to ensure that the configuration of the tool is in sync with the user's installation of the deployment service. 6. Server Extensions must be configured on IIS. 7. Deployment Service must have the ability to create virtual directories under IIS. (Should be covered by the things above.) 8. ASPNET user must have write permissions to the directory defined in PhysicalRootDirectory property of the [login to view URL] for the deployment service. This is typically taken care of by making sure that this user is an administrator. (continued below) ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform We should be able to configure the permission checking for the users and their groups to account for changes in windows installations and various environments. Whenever any of the above requirements is violated a detailed message about how that requirement is violated or what happened to prevent verification should be logged, and as many other requirements as possible should still be verified to ensure that as much information as can be presented at one time to the end user is presented. c#
