I'm looking to track the average movement over a 90 day time frame for each year for 10 year period. One year chart on top of another with the average price highlighted. Using a line chart the start date will be a variable. Enter any day.... program will chart 10 trading days prior and 80 trading days after.... from previous years. Example: Entry date Oct, 21 2014 program will show data from Oct, 7 2014 - Jan, 5 2015.... with Oct, 21 2014 highlighted Oct, 7 2013 - Jan, 5 2014.... with Oct, 21 2013 highlighted Oct, 7 2012 - Jan, 5 2013.... with Oct, 21 2012 highlighted Oct, 7 2011 - Jan, 5 2012.... with Oct, 21 2011 highlighted Oct, 7 2010 - Jan, 5 2011.... with Oct, 21 2010 highlighted Oct, 7 2009 - Jan, 5 2010.... with Oct, 21 2009 highlighted So on for the 10 years. also I would like the entry date to be the same point of reference on each chart so when they are over layered it will be easier to read. If I understand correctly. You need a line chart with 90 days interval for about 10 years. The 90 days range is calculated from input date ( -10 to +80 ). We need to pick same date form other three quarters of same year and other years. I am understood right , I can do this job. I am available to get started immediately. Can you explain me the details "also I would like the entry date to be the same point of reference on each chart so when they are over layered it will be easier to read.". I'm not sure understand how it would be shown. May be you have some examples of the same on existing sites?

Hi there, My name is Brian and I am a PHP web developer. You have a very interesting project which I think I can be of assistance for. I love to visualize data and in the past have been involved in intense mapping applications, graphing and spreadsheet solutions. This project offers a great way in which to quickly visualize finance data. My solution includes the following - Clean coded javascript / php graphing application - Data is obtained dynamically from a specified source (Yahoo?) - Search date is highlighted - Previous years can either be displayed next to the current year or as separate lines on a line graph. i have created a java software which intakes a daily csv file and then put the data into database later presented into a chart that shows the relative strength. so i have already got the prototype for charting and i think its a similar problem without using a database engine, but there is a little bit confusion with the way u need the chart. if i can contact you through mail or chat and clarify it properly, i could complete the project as soon as possible. this is my mail id joeshaji1990 at the rate gmail.com. kindly consider.
