I have a ready desktop application written in VB.Net and connects to SQL Server hosted on server online I want to make the connection string secured !!! so I decided to build a web service and hosted online ( same server of SQL DB ) and read + write some queries to the DB ====== 1- I have login form ( which should check if the user exists or NOT ! ) and return to the desktop VB.Net app the data ( userName , ID , ... etc ) 2- Need to read from another table ( Table2) and get some data to be shown on my form as string 3- Need to write to some table a value ( table 3) the userID and value from ( table 2 ) The project must be written with secured way so I can be sure that no way to access the connection strings from attackers :) it's much easier but I don't have time to learn it and apply it !!!
