Hello there, I am currently working as a Senior System Administrator at one of the biggest web hosting companies from Romania ([login to view URL]). The company is listed as top 5 web hosting companies in my country. I have over 10 years experience working on linux servers and I take care of over 250 servers (both physical server and virtual servers). We are using CentOS linux mostly but also Debian, Slackware, Redhat, Suse for our clients virtual servers. I am familiar with all the virtualization technologies (vmware, xen, proxmox, kvm, openvz etc). We are using cPanel/WHM, webmin + virtualmin and centos webpanel (CWP) as a web hosting control panel. Most of our clients have website built in wordpress/joomla/prestashop/opencart/magento or other php/mysql custom made scripts so I am familiar with debugging of these types of platforms, fixing security issues and anything else related. Hi, I saw many digitalocean vps with same issue specially if you are running with older version of OS like Centos 6.x. The apache server is buggy and have some kind of memory leak which eat all memory available and left other resources to die. I can make a script which frequently looking for memory usage and will restart httpd service to free up the memory it used but I will like you to go for proper solution and upgrade the droplet to updated version of OS. I will love to help you to create new droplet with newer OS and transfer all data from current droplet to new droplet. In this way you will get rid of this error otherwise it will comes back again.
