School Listing Platform -- 2

We are looking into building a website for school listings and reviews in a certain city/neighborhood of a country. Search by city district, review a school, and book a visit to view it live. Here are the features that needed to be implemented: - Scalable platform that could support up to half a million entries (schools) - Schools should be able to log into their own pages to edit details, upload pictures, etc. So the platform backend should allow for admin logins to edit content - The location search engine is based on both city and area location within the selected city - The possibility to compare up to 3 schools side by side on the different elements characterizing the schools (the profile filled data) - The platform users should be able to book a visit directly through the website, and thus the admin portal of the school should have a calendar plugin/booking possibility (school directly informed of booking, approval necessary before confirmation) - The displayed schools shall be ranked by the review score of each. In more details of the each section the following: - Home: The home page will reflect the identity of YELLOWBUS. It will include shortcut links to various sections of the website that the users can use as quick links to navigate easily to their desired area. The homepage should have a snapshot of the website purpose - Search (with filters) This is a location based search, where the users enter a location within a city, and all schools pinned within the filtered radius would show up in a listing or tile view, with the basic information displayed. when the users click on the school, more information will be displayed according the template. - Write a review This section will require users to log in via their Facebook, LinkedIn and Google accounts, choose a school, declare that they have visited or attended the chosen school (by selecting a year of attendance/graduation) and write a review. The review will need to be checked by the adminstrator and if approved, it will become visible for the school and the public. The schools will be able to view/respond to the reviews as well. - Book visits To access this section, users will be required to log in via their Facebook, LinkedIn and Google accounts. The section will be linked directly to the dashboards of the schools, in which each school can declare the availability for visits. If declared available, logged in users can request a visit by entering their contact details and choosing a time and date, then the SCHOOL ADMINS will see the requests and confirm by email or phone. The requests will be sent by email to those school admins. - Compare This section will allow users to compare schools by selecting up to 3 schools side by side, showing the elements characterizing each of them. - Members Area: This section will allow new users (schools!) to register using their Facebook, LinkedIn and Google accounts and fill in their additional information. Users will also be able to edit their profiles. - About us This informative section will include information about YELLOWBUS, its mission, vision and values. The details page will have related text descriptions, pictures, and/or video and the subsections will be comprised of informative HTML pages that contain descriptions. - Contact us The module displays the contact information of YELLOWBUS (address and phone) as well as its location over an integrated Google map with a form that can be filled and submitted for inquiries and feedback.
