Design Website for Spotify of Research Papers

I am looking for a website designer to design the first version of Hybridize. The output of this should just be high quality images of each of the pages. Hybridize is a Spotify for scientific research papers that offers vertical search and recommendations. The name originated because we believe the most novel research innovations come from melding together unrelated research topics. For example, Polymerase Chain Reaction - the process of producing large quantities of DNA - revolutionized the biotech industry and was created from merging together older concepts (the research was later awards the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1993). Additionally, the recent Deep Learning revolution was accelerated when a researcher realized that could leveraged the GPUs in the unrelated field of gaming. The site is similar to Google Scholars ([login to view URL]); however, our recommendation algorithm is fundamentally very different. Google scholar ranks by a number called the h-index, which prioritizes number of papers the author released and the number of times the paper was cited. This leads to researchers, in attempt to be ranked higher, to publish a higher quantity of papers and cite themselves (see [login to view URL] for more details). This means that the papers that appear in the search results are not necessarily good quality. We believe that readers of the paper should determine the quality of the paper and therefore rely on a crowdsourced “star”-based system that drives our recommendations / search results (similar to how stars on GitHub are used to assess the quality of the repository). The initial version of the site is only 5 page: a home page, a search results page, a article view page, a login page, and a signup page. Below is a brief description of each page. Home page: The default page. The user sees a list of recommended articles for them. Results Page: The results page is accessed when the user searches for a result from the search bar. It should just list search results and some basic filters (current are just time - past month, past year, all time, etc). The results are ranked by textual relevance, number of stars, and number of views. We think the number of stars the item has should be displayed with each item if possible. Article Page: The page should feel similar to [login to view URL] We only have the title, list of authors, summary, and pdf download link. It should include a download PDF link and a place to star the article / see number of stars the article has. Login / Signup Page: Simple login / signup page that should follow the same theme.
