I need someone to develop and execute a marketing strategy for a mobile app which I am looking to develop. Please propose the marketing strategy that you would suggest in your proposal. See below for more details on the app. Also see attached doc with specs.
I wish to create an Android/iPhone application that allow users to search for live music/comedy performances in their area. In this specification addendum, the term “user” relates to those who use the application to search for entertainment. “Subscriber” relates to the performer, who purchases a subscription.
For Users:
Users use the application to find entertainment via search parameters listed below.
*Location: (city)/Postcode
*Genre: (eg, rock, pop, jazz, easy listening, comedy etc)
*Artist: (if they now the name of the band/performer)
Upon finding a performer, the user will have access to that performer’s page, which will/can include:
Bio
Performances dates, times and venue/location (google map available?)
Photo Gallery
Blog
Reviews
Video
Music Samples
Music that can be purchased and downloaded.
Users can also post reviews of a performer.
Users can also select to “favorite” a performer and subscribe to “alerts” which notifies them of upcoming events from that performer.
For subscribers:
A Subscriber (performer) pays for a subscription, will provides them with a username and password which gives them access to set up their own profile in the application. The profile allows for the Subscriber to provide:
Bio
Performances dates, times and venue/location (Google map available?)
Photo Gallery
Blog
Reviews
Video (stream)
Music Samples (stream)
Music that can be purchased and downloaded.
The Subscriber provides search criteria such as “Name” (solo or band/Performer) “Location” (City, State and Country) with contact details optional.
The subscriber provide event/performance times and location (inc Google map)which will also show in user search criteria.
There are two types of subscribers:
1) Artist/Band/Performer
2) Agent.
Type 1 pays a subscription either by month or year and has one profile page dedicated to their act.
Type 2 pays a subscription either by month or year and can create up to 15 different profile pages (Package A) or 50 different profile pages (Package B)
Type 2 subscribers are Agents, who may represent many performers. This type of subscription allows the agent to create profiles for each of the performers they manage.
Experienced mobile marketer. My bid is to build and manage a campaign which will advertise your mobile app within similar apps. When the user clicks on the ad, they are taken directly to your store. Additionally, I can help with social media marketing to build brand awareness. Let's chat.
I've seen the app mockup, I really like the concept & I myself could use an app like that & find it really helpful. But I do have some questions/suggestions, along with some ideas off the top of my head. (these may not seem as relevant questions to social media marketing though.) If you're interested we can discuss a formal strategy.
* First off, & pardon me for asking & sticking my nose into this right away :D Are you considering charging artists/managers for subscription right away? Coz tbh I think this would be a turn off for users to use it or subscribers to come in & subscribe to be listed. the ideal thing to do is the offer using the app for fre till it gets famous & till it gets enough subscribers (musician/comedians/performers listings) & then when it gets popular & gets enough users & events, you start charging new subscribers for listings.
* do you have a website for the app? coz that makes a big difference of course.
* & do you plan on marketing the app in specific regions first, & what are they? :)) coz the first wave of users is critical of course. & if you're gonna have a database of all th events, then we'll need to start gathering data about a few events ourselves in the beginning, right? Which means that you'll have to gather some events in ll popular theaters around you. coz you don't want the users to log onto an empty database.
Unless you're gonna do it the other way...(please start a chat with me so I can send you the rest coz there's a max. limit here
Hello, I'm an Internet Marketer. I only use facebook ads for the moment. So my strategy plan will be to target subscribers ( searching for their organisations, associations, career ) and users ( people who like not very known artists so the targeting will be for people who are more likely to be interested in our app. and of course split testing different ads and see which one is performing better. But before we try and market the application we need to enter some performances so users find that the app is already launched and will open it again to check new performances. so we will be targeting users first. best regards.
I would create a facebook page, a twitter page, a instagram and a youtube account to post daily the app ideas and make people download the app. I could also do a logo for the app, if you dont have it yet, and do banners for marketing.
Good morning,
For these job I would create 2 storytelling: one for the Users and other for the Subscribers but both would Interact between then.
Instagram: photos and explanation on a really conceptual way to show your app. Telling from the pictures how users and subscribers can use you app, and why they should download that.
Facebook: 2 different types of advertising, coughing the right public, choosing interest profile, and sending straight to the right people.
Pinterest: Banners with call to action with the app link on the description, sending people straight to download.
For social media, frequency is the key of gaols achievement, so I would create a calendar with all the actions for each social media, and the days people will receive the content in their feed. After a month we go back to the calendar and see de RESULTS for each post. And valuate with we need to change the strategy or should we keep with that.
