Hi, I just read your description and it sounded much like my [login to view URL] thesis. let me briefly explain my experience in this area. I have researched parallel computing techniques and the ways to compute results faster using multiple nodes of the multicore CPU. I have used Message Passing Interface (MPI) as a parallel computing paradigm to rewrite codes in C. I have used Matlab's Parallel Computing Toolbox extensively to break the codes dealing with HUGE number sets and solve them in parallel. My problem statement was to reduce computational time and memory requirements of eigenvalue solver. I have produced two research publications on this topic. I think I can most comfortably help you in your problem and you will definitely benefit from my experience.

Hello, I reviewed your requirement brief and would say that there are more than one ways to create a package to do model calculations and return results in Excel. Apart from Matlab that you have already mentioned, you could also explore MS Access or a VB.Net based installer. Can you share your model or perhaps some more details about how it is currently organized i.e does it have a huge reference data which would mean Access would be better suited or if it has many formulas in which case, you would be better off in converting it to Matlab or a VB.Net application. Hello, I am research assistant in Uludag University, Turkey. The problem you faced are common problem. Reason of the problem is lack of Ram memory in the system. This problem can be faced in Matlab environment when program is composed in bad/weak manner. The solution is based on the use of RAM in efficient way. When RAM is close to overflow, The Data should be passed to Harddisk and RAM will be cleared after this process. In this way all the data will be saved successfully. I realized many projects which are similar to you according to RAM usage. Their concepts are different but useage of the memory sources of the computer is their major problem.
