I'm looking to create an excel calculator for my car hire and leasing business. I want to improve the way we create and send quotes to our clients. The idea is to build a good excel sheet where my staff can input the variables and it will create the quotes for us which we can then capture and send as an image to our clients. I have already started working on it, however I feel like an expert can really add some professional value to it, so it looks and feels more like a software. With more added features and buttons, also enhance the whole user experience so everything feels connected.

The best way to achieve a great user-experience is to provide features in excel through the VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). There we can restrict with real-time message boxes, we can add business logic, we can manipulate excel to our liking without the overhead that Macros or linking in excel brings. I have 10+ years of VBA experience and can make this with no issues, but why do it in excel. Why not give a desktop application or a web based application to your users, it is not that expensive to make and the true meaning of user experience will be there. Just a thought
