The rate on this project seems excessive although you do not detail how large the translated work currently is. I would work at a rate of $0.50 per 100 words if the work requires minor editing and proofreading. For extensive editing including word and context changes, my rate would be $1 per 100 words for full and detailed editing. This includes spelling, grammar, punctuation, context and readability changes. No credit is required. Depending on the size of the project, I could give you a better estimate on how long it would take to complete. I am happy to work on a chapter by chapter basis if preferred.
