I have a large Windows project coded in a language which does not have a Docker language stack. As a first mini-project, I would like a Docker expert to assist me with analyzing the feasibility of creating a new language stack for my purpose.
The analysis will have to examine various operating system calls (APIs) for which the project will need a Docker API in the language stack, and determine
(a) available Docker interfaces for OS APIs in use
(b) whether there are any OS APIs in use that are not supported by Docker
(c) whether any custom implementations / translations for unavailable OS APIs can be written, and the feasibility and estimated cost of this
(d) Overall feasibility and a cost estimate for implementing a viable Docker language stack
Please note that I need a low-level expert in Docker, with very good understanding of Windows operating system API calls - this will be necessary to determine the requirements in a reasonable time.
If this estimation clearly indicates that a language stack is feasible and can be implemented for a reasonable budget, a project to create the Docker language stack will follow
Hi,
We have 8 years of extensive experience working on DevOps and Dockers. We have extensively worked on Windows OS. Our DevOps offerings include: Automation, Notification, Containers, Performance Optimization etc. Price quoted is ballpark. Please share details to discuss about your project.
Hi, I have been working over the last few years on docker environment, all my staging, pre-prod and prod are being served in docker container. You can review our office product futurevault.com. I' look forward to talking soon, then we can negotiation the costing. Thanks
I was the primary developer porting our in-AWS cloud application over to docker. In that process, I've created custom language stacks for python, java and golang. All included custom SSL (FIPS 140-2) libraries against which the Python and golang applications ran. I was also the author of our development and build dockerization work which involved docker swarm to run our application stack on the developer laptops and automating the build process to leverage docker as a reproducible build environment.
I understand the effort needed to build up a complete application runtime environment from scratch. What I'm not sure is what language stack you are using and how tightly coupled to Windows that is.
Also while our application stack was cross-platform and ran on Windows as well, I haven't worked on docker-native on Windows (i.e. running under a windows kernel). If your language stack is essentially portable and you are looking to port it to Linux (docker running under a Linux kernel), I'm your man.
Please reach out to me if you need so we can work out if my skills match your requirements.
