MSSQL Data Import Project, create SSIS or Other Process to import Spreadsheets

Hello, I am very much interested to do this as i have strong experience doing these kind of works by .Net. I would like to do this automated import from excel to sql server by .Net console application which would be possible to schedule easily in windows task scheduler. I have one question about the point "4)provide a simple front end for searching the database". Is this for the same excel table data or for all other tables in the database? Well I have understood it but still want to know that how many columns are there in spreadsheet/table and is it to import into a single table or multitable. Thanks

Is it necessary to use SSIS ? I can make an executable in .net 1- It will have a browse button to specify the default location for excel files. 2-It will create a scheduled task in windows that will do the import process daily at specified time. 3-Please discuss with me the point of schema development so that i could clarify myself a bit about it

First of all, SSIS are not needed for this purpose - there are data providers (software components) which facilitate this process. They are already in the system equipped with MS software, meaning they are free; if they aren't I'll provide these for free. Next, by "simple frontend" do you mean web or desktop app? I could provide you any of this but what do you expect? Why can't we use MS Access or Excel for this matter?
