Delphi to C# translation

We currently have an iOS app and Windows desktop software written in Delphi XE 10.1. There is also an Android version, but current Delphi issues prevent this from working. We want to move these to Visual Studio 2017. The software connects to our proprietary peripherals via Bluetooth in the mobile apps and USB in the Windows version and allows the user to configure the peripheral and download data from it, as well as displaying real time information from the instrument. There are many types of instruments, so instrument specific code is written in pascal script and the app runs and communicates with the script. There is also an automatic mode of the software, where it interacts with the peripheral it is connected to, based on messages from the peripheral and without user interaction. Data is stored in files and in a SQLite Database. Data is converted from the proprietary binary format to a text file self-describing ASCII file. Selected data files can be shown on a chart. Locations of where data files were created are shown on Open Street Maps. In the mobile apps, data can be stored on DropBox. The software is written in 3 main layers – Core business model (platform independent), Instrument Pascal Scripts (platform independent) and 1 Platform Dependent Layer for each platform (GUI, communication and specific functionality). The job is to convert this Delphi/Pascal code to Visual Studio, Xamarin Forms and C# code to produce working iOS, Android and Windows Desktop software (not a windows app) for 1 instrument. Regular communication, code drops and liaising will be required for this project (9am – 5 pm UK time). Full Pascal source and a peripheral will be provided. Non-disclosure agreement will be required.
