Lanre Odunlami, also known today as WajuBeats, is the co-founder and main producer of StreetRacer Productions. Born and raised in Philadelphia; music has always played an important role throughout his life. It started in the 4th grade when he found his love for instrumentals. And, while playing the drums and becoming a self-taught pianist, music became like a second language.
His mentor, Stephen Tucker, winner of several RedBull Producer Showcases, introduced him to the world of music production. Ever since, Lanre has worked hard with great passion and independence. For him, practice does make perfect, and there's never an excuse not to. Aside from having a natural talent in artist- and creative business development, he has top experience in sound design, engineering, music sampling and mixing & mastering.
After years of embracing and embodying different music cultures, Lanre has developed a strong, diverse sound, and is able to bring out the best in those he works with. He has produced music for mainstream national as well as international artists, such as Peedi Crakk, Lee Mazin, Styles P, Tijon, Jacki O, Alex Moccia, Rebstar and more. He has also worked with creative agencies, creating unique sounds for a variety of advertising campaigns, shows and short films.
Today Lanre lives in New York City, and continues to expand his competence, networks and creative ear, with one mission in sight: creating one-of-a-kind production for artists and music lovers alike.
