As Microsoft SharePoint Online (as part of Office 365) does not support timer jobs, we require this functionality to be simulated through the Azure service.
The service we are wishing to simulate is to:
1. have Azure check through a calendar list in SharePoint Online every 24 hours
2. if there are any appointments in the calendar set for the next 24 hours, then:
3. obtain the relevant contact details from another list in SharePoint Online
4. send the contact a reminder email about their appointment
