Develop Wordpress Plugin to handle 200.000 + products for affiliate website

Hi, WooCommerce is already a plugin to handle products very well, then why are you asking for a new plugin ? It doesn't really matter if it's just 2 products or 200K products. Page-load speed completely depends on optimization of the site. By using a very well caching plugin, a dedicated server, and very well scaled images, page-load speed can be controlled very well. In some case, WooCommerce could also become an issue though. As it's a global plugin, it has too much options which your site might not need. As mentioned the site is an Affiliate site, i guess there's no on site sales, right ? If so, then a custom plugin would be a better choice. The plugin will give you the exact management panel suits best for the type of products. So this would cut of the heavy-weight woocommerce and give you a light product management area. Thanks.

PROBLEM: ==== If your host isn't good or doesn't support long processing script, you might fail into this 200k+ products import process because I assisted a previous client for about 2 weeks where the fault was his server and he had to switched to dedicated server and again he was unable due to server that was killing plugin to run longer. That was to import about 67k+ products (heavy data) into woo-Commerce. SOLUTION: ==== 1) Custom plugin should be created for exactly as your own need 2) Website speed factors can be improved for all other technical areas as long as they are not associated with THEME or its files. In this case, theme has to be re-created OR modified and thus more cost. YOUR FACTS: ==== 1) Over 200k+ products (depends on plugin, web server) 2) Speed of Website (depends on your existing theme and other factors) 3) If plugin is created and gets break by server due to timelimit etc, it won't be plugin fault (plugin created will have infinite time limit by its own) QUESTIONS: ==== 1) Do you want to import 200k+ products in wordpress ONE time or again & again? 2) Again & Again: If 200k+ products were imported, should they be ignored on next import OR checked again to be UPDATED if already exists during import process? 3) How much data each products have to import? 4) Import with XML/JSON? 5) Import products in WP posts or custom products section?
