Access 2003 database upgrade to include work orders
## Deliverables
Access 2003, Current application and data are provided. Current paper order scan provided, as well as existing application. (scanned work order has duplicates of front page please disregard, back page is page 3)
General Idea is to recreate the order input process into the database, using the existing inventory of paper products.
Integration of an accounts table for account input, editing searching. When viewing an account you should see all of their orders
Work Order is linked to an account. Should have a total, sub total, taxable, shipping (select from a few shipping options) (see existing paper order for the required fields and format)
Integrations of a work order Table and necessary tables. Also work order details should have inventory items link to the work order.
Input of a work order, and inventory items onto the work order. Should be a stream lined process, selection of an account, inventory items from existing inventory, and quick search and selection of inventory.
Also a work order should have a large notes field similar to the paper order provided.
Work order should have status (options): pending, in process, finalized;
When finalized inventory should be updated and an invoice printed.
Work order should be searchable by account, date. SHould be rereprintable.
A final dataset will be provide for going live, so that data input by client during the development phase can be included, and we can go live with the most current data.
Additional features:
Excel output or csv output of workorders. By date, date range or Account.
Read only version of the database, so processing team can view orders, but cant modify.
The current inventory form should ask before updates are made it currently only asks on deletions. (see inventory form)
miscellaneous fix, when typing on the inventory form, it will sometime highlight the entire cell almost randomly, then next character you type deletes the existing contents.
Worker should expect at least 2 or 3 rounds of revisions and tweaks from client and users testing.
