Questions: 1) Is your wordpress website running woocommerce or another ecommerce plugin? 2) Approx. how many products are on your website? 3) Are they variable products, such as items with multiple colors, sizes etc.? Does the job involve any transfer of the site's design over to magento, or is it strictly products, customers, orders etc.? This is an already extremely versatile and stable tool for magento imports. In addition, recent versions of magento have really improved the built-in product import systems. 3) Copying product attributes/data - I agree that this will be the most time consuming part. Consider an expected list of attribute set names and attribute names/types you will want to use (example, attribute set televisions can contain attribute television size as a dropdown).
