Objective: Create sliding scale discounts for shopping cart. Our shopping cart format is XX,3.00;YY,2.00:ZZ,1.00. XX is the end quantity for the price point that follows the comma. YY is the quantity added to XX to get the price point that follows the comma. ZZ is the quantity to be added to the immediately preceding quantity to get the price point after the comma. So up to XX the price is 3.00:add YY then the price is 2.00: add ZZ more to the current quantity then the price is 1.00. The cart result at the highest quantity in a price band should always be less than the following lowest quantity of the next price band. Product 1: Quantity 100-149, the price remains at 1.08; from 150 through 249, the price scales down to the next price point; from 250 through 499, the price starts at 0.88; from 500 to 999, the price starts at 0.78, from 1000 to 2499, the price starts at 0.74; from 2500 to 4999, the price starts at 0.70; from 5000+, the price stays at 0.67 The Excel file is attached to this project posting.
