ROLE The Business Development Executive will identify and qualify opportunities. You will develop and execute sales strategies to meet sales objectives, support customer satisfaction, secure business retention and increase market share for all SMT Plus corporate learning solutions. Your sales efforts and accomplishments will address the most strategic requirements of the customer/prospect and deliver both short and long-term revenue for SMT Plus. Reporting to the President, the Business Development Executive maintains an effective business relationship with the clients and influences the overall success of SMT’s offerings to the corporate learning market. You will work to determine customer’s needs and translate these needs into opportunities for SMT Plus. Using skills, experience and intellectual capital, you will identify, evaluate and select solutions and specialty offerings which best meet the client's needs. RESPONSIBILITIES The Business Development Executive will: • Identify, validate and secure new opportunities. • Drive annual revenue while accurately forecasting revenue & effectively managing the sales funnel and overall results. • Perform extensive prospecting. • Lead/own the service sales deals for selected opportunities through full lifecycle. • Be accountable for the success of selling SMT engagements involving multi-functional teams, leading and/or participating in several opportunities at the same time. • Maintain a positive, keen attitude & a strong competitive drive. • Maintain a healthy balance between working from home and the need to travel QUALIFICATIONS Required: • Proficient using Microsoft Office suite of products • Experience with all levels of a business through to including "C" level executives, • Excellent spoken & written English with polished presentation skills, • Experience in financial value proposition and the development of proposals • Excellent interpersonal skills, • Completion of a University Degree program and/or College Diploma • At least 3 years of experience selling corporate learning solutions Nice to Have • Knowledge of: o LMSs (Learning Management Systems), o LCMSs (Learning Content Management Systems), o corporate learning infrastructures, o various modalities of learning and learning solutions
