Unit 4 Assignment: GUI Tools In the Unit 3 Assignment, you completed a feature assessment of computer forensic suites. In Unit 4 you will research two GUI tools, create a bar graph, and be required to perform an in-depth analysis of one specific forensic suite program. Research two popular GUI tools: Guidance Software EnCase Access Data FTK, or Another Forensic Suite of your choice (you may use the forensic suites from Unit 3) Compare their features to other products, such as: ProDiscover, or Ontracks EasyRecover Professional Create a bar chart outlining each tool’s current capabilities. The chart should clearly indicate which software product you would recommend. Select a computer forensic suite, preferably one that has a demo available that you can install (AccessFTK and SANS SIFT are two such programs.). Install one of the forensic suites you researched. Write a 700-1,050 word summary analyzing the forensic suite you selected. Include the following in your summary: The usability of the program The graphical interface (GUI) The overall experience and benefit of the program (can it output a forensic file meeting the minimum legal standards) Any additional elements you believe are important Discuss the features you would find most beneficial in creating your own lab. Use at least two outside research sources including academic journals to support your view. Include your bar graph in your final paper.
