We have a project which entails updating a Big Commerce site via its API. We have a MySQL database (5.2) and would like an application written to update pricing, stock levels, etc on the big commerce site. We we write the sql view which will provide the data source. The freelancer is to propose a suitable method. Our preference is a VB application or a PHP script that we can further customise after the freelancer's work is done. We are open to options as to the method including using .NET We run a IIS server which can run PHP scripts.

Hello, Going by your requirements I will propose a simple PHP script that will receive data from the database(through mysql views as you said), use that data to make BigCommerce Api calls.
