See the attached vb.net project.
It consists of a routine that opens an Excel document searches for a string and leaves Excel open. The problem is that the routine never releases Excel completely. If you close Excel, an instance remains open in the task manager.
I want the routine to release Excel completely without closing Excel automatically. It should be left to the user to decide which of the programs (my program or Excel) they want to close first. But no matter which program they close first, when they close Excel, it should be closed completely.
I have attached a small project. Right now, if you close my program first, when the user closes Excel, Excel closes properly. But if you close Excel then close my program, an instance of Excel remains open. If you can get it to close, then bid and send me the executable to test.
