I have worked on similar projects for so many times. I have designed a scrapper for fetching the media urls from websites and storing it to database. I used curl with php for fetching webpage from website and then extracted the data from simple html dom library or by using regular expression. I am also able to provide feature against DDOS protection of webservers by using proxy servers for hiding original ip address and get not tracked by DDOS monitoring system. Database connectivity is easy to setup by using mysql, mysqli or PDO in php. Scrapper will be capable of extracting attributes of html tags too.
