Database Modifications

Modify existing database for small lodging business reservations, customer bills, and reports. 1,700 customer records with 2,100 reservation records in 5 tables. Monthly reservation chart is in Excel; other reports are in Access. Modifications needed: 1. Add Room Tax to Rental Record and Customer Bill a. Rental Record should automatically calculate Room Tax and add it to Total Bill. The Room Tax is 5.5% same as Sales tax. 2. Allow printing of Customer Bill by date with newest date as default. Example: Guest has 3 reservations in the system. 7/14/06, 7/20/07, and 10/12/07. We want to select reservation for 7/20/07 and print Customer Bill for that date. Currently we can only print the 10/12/07 reservation which is the newest date. 3. Deliver changes in executable program that will update new and changed fields for all Rental Records with First Night of 5/1/07 or newer. May 1 was the date the Room Tax became effective. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform MS Access 2000 database running under Windows XP Home.
