Conversion of ASP 3.0 dynamic query script to ASP.net (vb.net with code behind)

I have a script written in classic ASP which I have used on number of systems which reads data out of a table; the table contains parameters for other queries -- view to use, database to use, is the user allowed to apply selection criteria, if so how much or does the query just load. Takes a query ID number from the query string and loads that one, if no query ID is passed then displays a menu of available queries. Most of the logic I want is there, unfortunately I do not have a working example I can expose; you need to be familar with MS-SQL as the script uses schema information to run as well as building some dynamic queries. I would also prefer that during the conversion the coder use the Microsoft Application Data Blocks. From Rentacoder i am not looking to complety duplicate all of the functionality of the script I will supply as a base/model which does a lot of security checking based on the user logged in, I can go back and add this. I am putting this conversion up because I am not entirely sure how to do this in vb.net/asp.net and I have a time constraint and other parts of the system I'm currently building that I can work on. This should be a fairly straight forward and simple conversion. I will be happy to answer questions about the target environment and schemas and can provide some of the database objects and formats but there will be meaningless data contained therein.
