Calculating variables in php/mysql

I am looking for some help from a web developer who knows Dreamweaver CS3, the Developer Toolbox, and PHP Mysql. I want to make a change to the form at: [login to view URL] (you won't be able to submit this form without signing in at:? [login to view URL]) and following the links. The insert form was created with the Developer Toolbox. There are 26 items in this form that are rated on a scale from 0-8. I want to calculate a mean value for ratings across these items, and I want to exclude ratings that = 0. In other words, I want to AVG(item1; item 2;...item26) where ratings equal 1-8. I don't know how to script the instruction to calculate the mean score (which I would like to insert into a variable in the same table as the ratings). I also want to count the number of items (out of the 26 in the form) that receive a rating of 0 and insert that value into a variable in the table. ## Deliverables 1) detailed instructions for scripting and placing the code using the Dreamweaver CS3 interface. 2) examining my implementation to make sure it is correct. 3) it works. ## Platform I try to follow web standards.
