I need a database app for Android that will allow the user to work through a series of button screens and then enter quantities to be stored in the app. Am not concerned what is used on the back end since it is a standalone app. Need to be able to add buttons at each level on the fly.
Example:
First screen shows three buttons that I would have already designated: t-shirt, fleece, towel. I have two options at this point - press one of the three buttons to drill to the next level of detail OR add another button at this level (for example, 'caps') If I press the fleece button then I would see a new screen of buttons (or checkboxes, radio buttons, etc - whatever is easiest and takes the least screeen space) that would offer me choices of 'zip hoodie', 'pullover hoodie', and 'crewneck', as well as have the option to add a new button on the fly. This would repeat until we worked down to the exact item/record that we are tracking and then we would have a screen to enter a number for each size - - and able to either add or subtract from the number stored in the record.
A general flow would go like this: Product Family --> Product Style --> Substyle --> Manufacturer --> Color --> Size
Preferably it would work on Android 1.6 so we could use inexpensive tablet as hardware, but if good database functionality isn't available for that then use whatever version would be most stable for this type of app.
The overall goal of this app is to keep accurate records of items on hand with the ability to add and remove items on the fly without memorizing all of our inventory codes. If thumbnails of items can be added then great, but not necessary.
