Hi, I am professional C/C++ developer with experience on Linux and Windows platform. To say true I was not working with Sybase from C++ but I have worked with other DBs (Oracle, MySQL) so I think I can do this project after some learning about Sybase data access APIs. Please provide more information - which version of Sybase, database schema, sample data, what data to be extracted, what is data format for web backend, do you provide access to backend instance for testing or binaries and instructions on how to deploy your backend locally? I make warranty to provide you finally stable working application and its source code, clean, readable, written in enterprise grade standard similar to Google's standard for C++. We can also discuss option of implementing this functionality with Java/JDBC, I have experience with this as well with accessing Oracle, SQLServer and Postgres from Java/JDBC apps, Sybase should also be not a problem after some short learning, I think.

Hi there, I have been working in the world of corporate engineering, using C++, for over 2 decades now. Used to accessing all types of RDBMSs using C++, including SQL Server, MySQL, Postgress, Sybase etc. Using Sybase OpenClient, would be one option to access your Sybase DB. (If my memory serves me right). Can you please let me know : a) What version of Sybase you are using b) on What O/S c) How many tables we will need to access or query, and how complex will these queries be? i.e how complex are the DB operations that are to be executed from within C++? if I hear from you, we can take things from there. the design depends the criteria of the extraction, either you want complete import/export or qualified queries for each transfer of the data. I assume you would perform filtered transfer for which you need to pass the filters to the C++ program which will prepare and execute the queries on ASE database and dump into the MySQL. One way could be that for each transfer you launch the C++ program with provided queries from your java back-end which execute the C++ program to transfer the data from ASE to MySQL.
