I have built development website in Bootstrap 3 using Adobe Dreamweaver. This site has a persistent bug with viewport in both Safari and Chrome on an iPhone 4.
The site is fine when viewed in portrait/vertical format but when the phone is in landscape/wide format, only the left 320px of the screen is occupied by the site page. The rest of the screen is the dark green of the <body> background colour.
The top navbar does stretch to fill the screen, but the rest of the site, contained in .container-fluid divs, does not, and as far as I can see, there is nothing stopping the site from stretching to fill the width of the phone screen.
The bug cannot be replicated by narrowing the browser window on a desktop. The HTML and CSS for the site template is bog-standard Bootstrap with two custom CSS files added. The viewport meta also comes straight out of the Bootstrap box.
I need someone very familiar with CSS and with Bootstrap to help with this problem AND you will need to be able to access an iPhone 4 to check and resolve the problem, as newer phones with greater resolutions will not show this.
I can zip and send the relevant files as they are plain HTML and will work in a local browser.
