Quantitative Hedge Fund seeking Web Front End/UI developer in Marina del Rey, CA Created by a team of veteran quants, Decipher goes beyond traditional portfolio analysis to provide increased transparency and deeper insights, with greater efficiency and ease. This global, multi-asset platform is essential for sophisticated, institutional asset managers looking to improve surveillance on their managed accounts and manager returns, or to improve their portfolio construction capabilities. Decipher’s rich analytics framework was developed in-house to help streamline meaningful analytics. The UI/Web Developer will be responsible for the development and support of our new risk analytics initiatives. This role will interact with our data scientist to create data visualizations allowing our clients to get a deeper understanding of the risks they face in an ever-changing financial landscape. This role requires proven experience designing, implementing and maintaining consumer facing financial apps delivered via the web. Responsibilities • Develop frontend portion of web-based both mobile and desktop incorporating best practices and standards based programming. • Design overall user interface/user experience (UI/UX). • Create exciting data visualization and dashboards • Work with application developers to integrate web GUI with backend business applications in a 3-tier architecture. • Systems and acceptance testing. • Production support: o Problem diagnosis. o Resolution analysis. o Correction. o Production installation and coordination. • Education: Bachelors in computer science. • Industry: 3+ years’ experience in a relevant position. • Technical: o Expert in HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Cross Browser Compatibility, UX. o Proficiency in ASP.NET Web Forms; ASP.NET MVC is a plus. o Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET Framework 3.5+. o Proficient in web page organization, standards and search optimization. o Experience integrating Web Analytics tools such as Omniture, Google Analytics, etc. Application Requirements • You must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
