A comprehensive literature report

As the HRD Director for a mid-sized Asian hospitality company, your CEO has tasked you with developing a rigorous training program for all levels of managers, from supervisors to vice-presidents. The purpose is to ensure that management staffs are kept up to date with competencies within their own functional departments in an increasingly competitive landscape. Write a comprehensive report with both broad outlines, as well as specific examples within 3 functional departments (e.g. customer service, dining etc.). You may choose an existing or hypothetical organization in the hospitality sector (e.g. hotels, resorts, tourism etc.). Choose from the methods in Topic 7 of your PowerPoint slides (e.g. on-the-job training, self-directed learning, role play etc.). Guidelines: • The maximum word count for the assignment is 3,000-3,500 words. • 12 Font Size, Times New Roman • Pages must be numbered. • The incorporation of references from the literature should be a key aspect of this essay and the literature should be used to support all ideas and points put forward throughout your essay. The literature should help to inform you with regard to best practice in field of HRD and with respect of the different components of a strategically-integrated approach to HRD. Any idea, theme, or argument that you have found in the literature and used in your essay must be cited within the text. • Your answer will require you to draw upon many of the topics from this module. • Correct referencing using Harvard system and a total of 25 full bibliographies. • The submission date is 05 Dec 2014.
