When we talk about interfacing with a computer we typically mean typing at a keyboard or using a mouse. The EEG, or electroencephalogram, is electrical activity recorded from the scalp and produced by neurons in the brain. Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) acquire brain signals, analyze them, and translate them into commands that are relayed to output devices that carry out desired actions. The purpose of this project is to detect the signal, and translate these signals in to commands. For the demonstration of this concept, a ping pong game will be developed. Signals acquired from the BCI are fed to the game. Game will be two players, where one player will be actor using BCI and second player will be computer. Based on the signals received from BCI, actor will be able move the game entity by its eye movement. Discipline: HCI Hardware/Software/Other Requirements: EEG Headmount, Flash

There is no one better for this project. I was the Chief Software Architect for EA Sports On Demand and I managed the Advanced Technologies group at Acclaim Entertainement. I have been lead programmer, technical director, and architect for numerous AAA titles including Tiger Woods PGA Tour for Xbox, PS3, and Wii. I was lead programmer for a game called Outlaw Tennis where I built out the entire game engine using PONG as the framework. I have experimented with BCI when I was running ATG at Acclaim, so I have experience there as well. I currently focus on AI, Machine Learning, and Pattern Recognition, which is at the intersection of this entire project. I can do this quickly.
