Ruby isn't specifically needed - any MVC that will let you throw up a quick site will do. Nor is actual in-depth knowledge of statistics or financial markets - I will explain the specific requirements of the project after NDA is completed.
I need a rudimentary site, more or less sufficient to function as a proof of concept, that will:
- take a query from a user
- store this query in a database (please note in your bid whether you can skip this step and complete the job much more cheaply)
- use particular APIs to retrieve publicly available time-series data relating to the query
- conduct basic statistical analysis in R or any Python, Ruby, etc. stats library (it is a relatively simple "algorithm," likely at most some 3 or 4 lines of code, to be disclosed later)
- output results
If you have a background in front-end design as well as R, and/or live in New York City, do please note this in your bid.
Hi,
I have qualifications in java, signal processing and statistics (confirmed by this website). I own experience with R, python, matlab and other programming languages. Please consider my offer. Thanks
I am a computer scientist based in London and I can get the site up and running fast. I haven't used R before but I have used Matlab and I have many years of rails and sys admin experience.
