Hi,
I really hope I'm the editor you're looking for! Your project sounds brilliant.
I'm a senior editor on a national newspaper in the UK, and rewriting copy of all styles and standards is my specialty. I've many years' experience of proofreading and working with authors, ensuring they get the very best from their text.
Recently I proofread/copyedited a major, high-profile book by a political writer called Iain Macwhirter. It was a TV tie-in and the deadline was really tight. Here's the link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Road-To-Referendum-Iain-Macwhirter-ebook/dp/B00DAJ7JMK/ref=tmm_kin_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1384535569&sr=1-1
Why the jump from Scottish politics to children's fiction? Well, I have five children! Aged from 2 to 15 and I'm an expert in children's stories, reading and telling them - we have a vast children's library here and I'm certain my experience and passion for telling stories will be of enormous benefit.
I've also edited displays targeted for children at a national museum, and I've written guides and lectured on writing for specific audiences, including young people. Oh, I also scripted the interactive displays.
As well as guaranteeing your work will be well written, with an accessible, free-flowing style, I can also promise it will contain no spelling, grammar or punctuation mistakes.
Lastly, I'm an expert at InDesign and Word, and I can lay your book out beautifully in a pdf, or create it as a mobi file for Kindle.
Hope to hear from you,
Colin
