Hi,
Saw your ad and couldn't resist! I am an Aussie too, so you are guaranteed that I will have a good understanding of issues that affect teens that are specifically Australian - such as the importance of sunscreen, taking care in water etc. I also have a good understanding of the job market etc. for teens looking to gain independence. I am 28 now, and have many younger girls coming to me for advice and assistance on a regular basis and have done for many years. Most of my girls are around 20 now, but are still dealing with issues such as relationship breakdowns, rejection from employers, struggling with friends and family changing as they grow in different directions, and dealing with the parents in all aspects.
It has been a while since I was a teenager, and I was diagnosed several times with having depression. I was far from depressed, just had low self esteem. There were no resources available to me at the time to be able to comprehend what was going on in my brain, so I was left to figure it out for myself.
I went through patches of alcohol abuse, drug use, partying, pregnancy, miscarriage and just about any other things that you can think of throughout my teenage years, and I came out a better person on the other side.
I am not a qualified writer by any means, but believe that I have the life experience to be able to provide a solid foundation to your efforts. May I ask the name of the eMag so I can get some ideas to provide you with a sample?
Thanks,
Karyn
