I’m a motorcyclist, in the past I was using a dedicated GPS from Garmin called the Zumo XT. I could connect my phone to that GPS via Bluetooth and if I had an app called Garmin Drive installed on my phone it was able to share some information between my phone and the GPS like for example notifications or Music information: Notification example: Music information: I’ve now switched to using a Samsung galaxy tab active 3 as a navigation device instead of the dedicated GPS and I’m now missing the notification / music information shared between my phone and the device in front of me while driving.
