The written agreement with Mr Dibella was to design an RF remote control handset and receiver for an audio preamplifier so that it would have bluetooth and USB inputs, media player and visual display of controls for a TV monitor, also to design the PCB layouts. While carrying out the work he constantly complained about the Freelancer site and other freelancers then tried to close his account without continuing with my project; I contacted Freelancer who would not allow this. I sent the PCB layouts to a company to manufacture but the bill of materials had many omissions and mistakes which took them a very long time to correct; he tried to blame the company. They sent the PCB’s to him and several weeks later he sent me a video apparently showing the preamplifier being controlled by a remote control handset and gave me instructions on how operate it and to programme the functions despite this not being in the agreement, saying ‘I am always at your service. He sent the PCB to me with a commercial DVD player remote control and I paid him because I trusted his word. I found that while the input, volume and tone controls could be controlled manually the remote control would not work at all and so none of the other functions were available; it was operated by infra red, not RF and I realized he had deliberately deceived me in the video! I wrote to him but received no reply and I am now applying to the European Small Claims Court to recover the $2,000 I paid + $800 for the PCB
