We need a very simple 'content management system' developed (1 aspx page using Telerik HTML Editor). The solution will read in the contents of a web page, allow a user to view and modify the page with an HTML editor, and then save the results to the same folder on a web server, overwriting the existing page. For more detailed requirements you must meet, see the detailed requirements section.
## Deliverables
The solution must meet the following requirements:
1) Must consist of single aspx page called [url removed, login to view]
2) When page loads it must prompt the user to enter a user name and password before giving the user access to the page. We need you to add a user name and password to the appsettings section of the web.config. The user name and password entered by the user will be verified against the user name and password in the [url removed, login to view] file. The user name and password prompt should be implemented using AJAX and a popup div.
3) When loading, the single page screen should read a list of existing editable files(.aspx, .htm, .html,etc.) in the current directory including subdirectories and display those so the user can select which one to edit. There should be a way also for the user to indicate they wish to create a new page and name it. The application should read the [url removed, login to view] to determine where a blank templated page can be found.
4) When the user indicates the page to edit, the system should read and display the entire page into a Telerik HTML Editor control. It should display correctly with all formatting and images just as if it was loaded into Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, etc. The page must render exactly as it does in the browser, using any existing stylesheets that the page references. It must work for both DIV-based websites or table-based websites.
5) The user should be able to use the toolbar to do all basic editing and formatting and when finished should be able to click a 'Save' button to save the changes. Clicking the 'Save' button will save the results by overwriting the existing page. Prior to saving changes, the application should back up the original file to a SimpleCMSBackup directory and rename the file to include the current timestamp prior to replacing the file. For example, if we retrieve [url removed, login to view] and make changes and click save, the original [url removed, login to view] needs to be saved as [url removed, login to view] prior to being overwritten. The screen should provide a way for the user to select to restore one of these backups based on timestamps.
6) This project should be done using [[url removed, login to view]][1] 2010, C# and the latest version of Telerik [ASP.NET][2]Editor. If you do not have a copy, download and use a trial version. You can find the Telerik ASP.Net Editor at <[url removed, login to view]>
7) We should be able to add basic CMS editing to any site by including the [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], and bin directory to any existing website.
8) Must adhere to our standards document which includes naming standards.
9) No other third-party controls can be used besides the Telerik HTML editor.
10) The [url removed, login to view] 2010 solution you provide must also include a test client demonstrating the Simple CMS functionality.
