Change search behavior in Internet Explorer

I need a program (dll) that will alter the search engine in Internet Explorer from whatever search engine to a search engine or URL of my choice - creating a URLSearchHook entry... For example if a user types in the Address bar a search word or phrase then the results from my site are shown. Also, if a user enters a URL that returns a 404 error I would like the page redirected to my search engine or URL. The software is intended to be downloaded and installed from a website and therefore would be best done in the form of a DLL that I can place in a cab or have the ability to install from a link as activeX component. Also, I would like this to be done in VC++, if you're not comfortable with that VB is OK. I would like the software to have an Uninstall Facility. I need well documented code, and also thoroughly tested on all I.E. platforms (4.0+).
