The sample work the freelancer showed me as great, however she could not produce similar work. Since she was new to me, I set the first milestone as a plot (which I said I would pay her extra for) The writing was show and not tell, the dialogue was unrealistic and when I offered her the choice to fix the plot or cancel. She chose to fix the plot. When the plot came back it was no better than before and she killed of a core character when I had previously told her that no one must die. So I cancelled the project and she refunded saying that she understood. After this, she contact freelancer support and asked them to remind me of my obligations - ie she was charged a fee for accepting the project. I was also charged a fee when she accepted the project- however I cancelled the entire thing within 7 days. She misrepresented her abilities wasted my time, and is now causing me additional problems,
