Fix my code: Reading large file from network in VB

I have very simple code that reads a file into a string. It has a problem reading large (80MB) files through the network. I get a "Bad file name or number" error.

It works fine if you read it from a local drive ("C:\"), but not a network drive letter nor a UNC. You'll then get the "Bad file name or number" error.

Note that it seems to work fine for files around 60MB, but not around 80MB. There may be a 64MB limit, but I need to find a way around this.

I am including the sample code and file for testing. It's one character repeated, so it compresses very small, under 100K. Please take a look at it and *please* don't bid unless you have looked at it and know a good solution. I am willing to pay the full bid amount for a fast and working fix.

It would help a lot if you have a sample EXE so I know you can do it.
