We defined a couple of surveys at [login to view URL] (survey platform), linked 1:1 to google sheets as “collector” for the results. The task is to define and install a well-structured MySQL database based on the resulting google sheets. The database needs to be flexible enough to integrate new questionnaires (and therefore new google sheets).
The columns in google sheets are named based on the question text (1 column per multiple choice option or 1 column for a rating (eg 1 to 5 stars). Each answered survey question represents one line in google sheets (data set). The structure within the google sheets itself is determined by the survey platform and varies by question type (eg multiple-choice vs. rating vs. short answer).
Currently we have a only a test environment with 3-4 questionnaires with 10 questions each, but we plan to increase this significantly.
The MySQL database should be hosted at one of our servers. We want to be able to view and process the various tables locally in an MS Excel environment. The content of the database needs to be accessible in its entirety in excel. We think that to use a pivot cache is the best way to do this, but we are open to suggestions.
We also need some kind of “viewer” or “console” in Excel to view the database content in Excel, eg by questionnaire (survey), user, project or question. Please add “understood” to your bid to show you actually read it.
