DHTML CSS Navigation Tabs

I need a sample program using DHTML and CSS that will create horizontal navigation tabs. Once I get a good sample I can adjust it to my needs.

Here is a brief background of my project:

I currently have a vertical navigation menu on the left-hand side of my webpage. When I click one of the menu items, a horizontal tabular navigation menu will need to show up in the main body of the web page. The labels of the tabular navigation menu are obtained from a database and are determined from the values that are passed from the vertical navigation menu (again located at the left of the web page). So, the need for dhtml is vital because the labels of the horizontal tab navigation menu will always be different.

Also, the content that follows under the menu selection will be obtained from the database. But, for this bid request this can be hard-coded with each tabular navigation menu item containing different content.

The main purpose of this request is just to help me learn how to create a dhtml tab navigation menu by passing a value to a javascript function to indicate if the tab is active or inactive.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
