J2ME Stopwatch Application

The basics of the application: - A stopwatch program used by coaches to time athletes (track, swimming, etc.) - Runs on a cell phone - Saves small amounts of data locally - Downloads event data from a website - Uploads event results to a website Details - The application has a home screen with four menu options (EVENTS, RESULTS, CLASSIC MODE, and SYNC) - EVENTS is a list of events saved on the device - These events can be downloaded from a website or entered manually - When an event is selected, the user can time the event using the phone keypad - Relay races display the total time and the current leg time - RESULTS is a list of events saved on the device - CLASSIC MODE is just your basic stopwatch - SYNC is where you upload event results and download event details - The upload simply sends a text string to a PHP page - The download simply calls a PHP page - There are a total of 12 screens in the application (home, events, results, classic mode, sync, events list, new event, stopwatch view, relay race view, race results, results list, results display) I have created a Flash demo of what I would like the application to look like and how it should function: [url removed, login to view] I am not a graphic design or phone application development expert, so small modifications to that design are acceptable. Also, I assume this will run on Java ME.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. By creating the Flash demo ([url removed, login to view]) I am hoping to eliminate any ambiguity. The finished program should look and function almost exactly like the Flash demo. The only reason for any deviation should be: a) Better graphics (I’m not an expert graphic designer), while keeping with the LAPZERO font and color scheme. The fonts used are Tahoma, Arial Narrow, and Swiss 721 Black Rounded. The basic color scheme is bluish-purple, orangish-yellow, black, and white. Any changes will be agreed to by the buyer. b) Changes necessitated by the limitations of making a Java application usable on a wide range of cell phones. 2) The website code to have that executable install automatically when the user browses to a URL with their Java-enabled cell phone. For example, if a user visits [url removed, login to view] on their cell phone, they get a link to download Gmail for their particular phone. Clicking on that link installs Gmail in the user’s Applications directory. 3) The program should run on any Java-enabled phone, appropriately adjusting to screen size. 4) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition. It should include an installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform specified in this bid request 5) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

Any Java ME device, optimized for 128x160, but scalable to a wide range of phones.
