COMPORT READER II

I have a comport project. I have already written all the software for the comport to receive information from an embedded GPS device which is attached to the serial port. I now need to add a routine to receive information from an accelorometer in a seperate text box, taking the embedded value and dividing it by 10. Simply using an Instring command or some character recognition routine to complete this process. The values are not the same which the accelormeter generates due to the device moving around to show degrees on a X and Y axis.? The values which the accelorometer is giving out down the serial port must be divided by 10. All the values are proceeded? by the name "ARE:" and there are two values a "X" and "Y" value seperated by a space and sometimes by a minus symbol. an Example is shown as the device will send it; ? ARE: 4 -120 and another example could be ARE: 880 900 and also ARE: -239 126. So I would require this data to be divided by 10 and shown in the text? as the real X and Y degrees. I must also be able to save this data to a .txt file
