A ten member group of high school children competing in the International FLL (First Lego League) require to do various tasks, out of which research and paper writing is one major component.
(1) Topic of research is –
Problems to be faced by astronauts on their journey (not their stay in Mars) from Earth to Mars (mention physical, social, mental…but research to focus on psychological health, like isolation, depression, etc.)
Focus on – psychological problems and the journey period form Earth to Mars.
(2) Following components are required (not necessarily in the following order and could include more related matter) –
(i) Define the problem (statement, limitations, introduction…etc)
(ii) Related literature
(iii) Collect data – tools – interview of astronauts on isolation, stress, depression, questionnaire, survey, case study…
(iv) Physical changes
(v) Training sessions
(vi) Analysis of data
(vii) Solution
(viii) Result and discussion
(ix) Future scope
(x) Etc, etc…
(3) Word limit – appropriate for school research project – 15/20 pages or a maximum of 30 pages, I guess
(4) Level of research – high school children competing at international level
